Cooling – Pork + Rabbit Stew

I have an 11yo male GSD. He's super sensitive gut/environmental allergies/food sensitivities. His primary protein for most of his life has been duck. However, he can still get hot and drooly. I was brave and gave this pork and rabbit stew a try. Wow am I glad that I did! I top his meals with 2 heaping Tbls and it has only been a week. He looks so comfortable! His hot skin (pits&groin) are cool to the touch. I noticed today that his jowls are dry. I can't remember the last time they were dry. We will certainly keep this in his diet.

I thought this stew would be more meaty. The consistency is more on the watery side. The meat content seems low. It does not look like the advertised picture thats for sure!

So i really like all the extras in this to give my pups more than they are getting from my homemade recipe as a topper however i really wish it were offered in a ONE PROTEIN either rabbit or pork not both. i am using as a topper w lean groud beef recipe and that's just too many proteins imo :( my pup didn't do good and my 2 adults did great... one vomited 1st meal maybe mixed too much for introduction but hasn't since :) FYI, I'd def be interested in a NO meat option of this to add to my recipe!!!!!

The products are good. My dog loves them. My local store no longer carries Side-by-Side. However, no communication with regard to the order shipping. I did send a request for an update almost a week after placing the order and didn’t receive a response. When the shipment did arrive, I found the items were very short-dated. Dec 31/23 for the food and Sept 30/23 for the treats. While the discounts were great, it would have been very helpful to know the best by dates in advance. That info could have been put on the page descriptions. There’s no way I can go through 5 bags of treats in less than a month. They’ll be getting donated to our local dog rescue.
